The Doulton 10" SuperSterasyl ceramic filter is designed for gravity filter use.  The SuperSterasyl grade has a ceramic outer shell with silver imbedded to prevent mirobiological growth on the surface.  This also makes the filter self-steralizing.  The ceramic shell filters patogenic bacterias and cysts.  Underneath the ceramic shell is granular activated carbon.  The carbon reduces chlorine, organics, odors, and filters out bad tastes.

When the flow rate starts to slow or the filter becomes visibly dirty, it can be cleaned with a scotch-brite pad or brush under running water.

Each filter lasts for approximately 700 gallons before needing replacement.

Each filter comes with a rubber washer and wing nut.

This filter will fit many gravity filter systems, including the following:  CeraGrav LP5, Royal Berkey, Imperial Berkey, Crown Berkey, Berkey Light

It will NOT fit these systems: Doulton SS2, AquaCera SS4, Big Berkey, British Berkefeld, Travel Berkey
